WHAT IS GDPR

On the 14th of April 2016, the European Parliament finally approved the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which replaced the previous directive 95/46/EC translated into the Portuguese legal system in Law n.º 67/98 of 26 of October still in force.

The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is a new European regulation that applies after May 25, 2018 and aims to make legislation on personal data equal throughout the European Union, increasing protection and protecting  its citizens.

The so-called “Electronic Complaints Book” was created by Decree-Law n.º 74/2017, of June 21st and regulated by Ordinance n.º 201-A/2017, of June 30th.
