Payment Policy
Standard rate reservations are guaranteed by payment of 50% of the total amount, at the time of award, and by the consequent settlement of the remaining 50% by the 15th day before the scheduled check-in date.
In case of lack of any payment - initial or final - the reservation will be considered null, with no right to refund of any amount paid, opening the dates in the inventory again, on the various reservation platforms.
Proof of payments must be sent by email to info@lagartopintado.com or via MB Way.
Failure to pay any amount due will lead to automatic cancellation of the reservation.
Cancellation Policy
The conditions for canceling the reservation depend on the advance notice and the selected rate:
In Standard Rate:
– If it is up to 15 days before the check-in date, there will be a 75% refund of the amount paid for the reservation;
– If it is within the 14 days prior to check-in, 50% of the total amount of the reservation will be charged.
In the event of of a reservation under "non-refundable" conditions, the amount of the reservation must be paid in full at the time of the award and, if there is a need for cancellation, a rescheduling of the canceled reservation may be requested, which depends on the acceptance of Lagarto Pintado and the availability of schedule. Rescheduling a non-refundable reservation will incur an additional cost of 50% of the total amount of the previous reservation.
If the guest does not show up on the day of the reservation, it is considered a “no-show”, and the entire amount of the reservation will be charged.
The guest already installed can interrupt their stay without the right to reimbursement.
Terms and conditions
I. Scope of application
The terms and conditions contained in this document apply to the relationship between the potential guest, hereinafter referred to as the Client, and Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia, from the moment of the reservation request until the end of the period of stay.
In situations that are not provided for in the Terms and Conditions, the applicable legislation is used.
II. Booking Policy
Reservations can be made by phone, email, through our website, social networks and booking engines (Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO, AGODA, etc...) or any other platform where the accommodation is located. published. All reservation requests, coming from any of the previously mentioned means are subject to availability.
After the reservation request, if there is availability of accommodation, Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia provides a reservation transaction code.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia only guarantees the Customer the provision of accommodation of the type reserved and access only and exclusively to the number of guests identified. Stays of people who are not on the rooming list are not allowed.
III. Arrival and departure
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia offers accommodation in the reserved category from 4 pm on the scheduled arrival date. Guests are required to pay a deposit (€150 Attic Master Suite; €350 Full House, €250 T2 and €300 T3) which must be paid by MB Way or bank transfer before check-in. This deposit is used to cover any damage that may occur during your stay.
Before check-in, guests must identify themselves and provide their identification document (identity card/passport) and address via email, WhatsApp. Other data may be requested if necessary to comply with legal obligations (communication to SEF, for example).
On the departure date, the Client must leave the accommodation unoccupied with people and goods and without any damage by 11 am. After verifying the integrity of the accommodation and the goods made available, the value of the deposit is returned by the same way in which it was paid.
Check-in and check-out may take place outside the defined hours as long as availability is checked with the employees of Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia and has an additional costs per hour 1 hour: 40€ in high season e 30€ in low season.
If the accommodation is not vacated by 11 am on the day of departure, without any justification or prior consent from Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia, compensation corresponding to the price of one night will be immediately charged, with the Client only having the right to use the accommodation during this period if accommodation is available. Otherwise, you will have to pay the compensation and leave the accommodation by 3 pm.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia does not have a 24-hour reception service. We appreciate that guests inform us of their arrival time, however, they can check-in independently if they so wish.
Upon check-in, you will be given a numeric access code to the door of the reserved accommodation. The codes given are temporary and can only be used during the booked stay, respecting the check-in and check-out times.
IV. Terms of Use
Only the persons indicated in the reservation of accommodation will be entitled to use it. Temporary visits to our guests are only allowed with the prior consent of the management of Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia.
The Client and the companion(s), if applicable, must use the accommodation under the appropriate conditions, with care and consideration.
The Client and the accompanying person(s), if applicable, must treat other guests with consideration and respect the Regulations made available.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia offers its guests a communal garden, patio and swimming pool, adjacent to the house.
The common spaces and equipment available to guests must be used in the right conditions and left clean and in good condition.
All damages, breakdowns and thefts associated with the Customer will be charged, taking into account the value of the damages in question.
Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult guest at all times during their stay at Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia will not be responsible for personal belongings that may disappear within its facilities.
The Client must always close the access doors to the building and make sure that they are properly closed.
In case of emergency, the Customer must call the contacts made available in the existing regulation in the accommodation for this purpose.
V. Parking
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia does not have private parking. However, there is free public parking in its surroundings.
VI. Animals
It is expressly forbidden to house animals at Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia.
The introduction, by the guest, of animals in the accommodation allows Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia to inform the Client of the obligation to leave without refunding the amounts paid in the meantime for providing the accommodation during the contracted period of stay.
VII. Pool and outdoor space
Except for maintenance needs, the swimming pool and adjacent outdoor space are available to guests of Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia between 9.30 am and 7.30 pm, and guests must refrain from using them outside this period. The patio and respective outdoor dining area can be used outside this period, provided that the quiet hours defined in the unit's Information Book are respected.
The pool and outdoor space can be shared with people other than guests from the same group, as the unit has several types and booking methods.
Likewise, the outdoor space, including all the material and furniture available therein, can be shared by guests from different groups.
VIII. Noise
As a matter of respect and understanding for all guests, special attention is asked for silence in the sleeping areas.
Between 10 pm and 9 am activities that cause noise likely to annoy other guests are not allowed.
IX. Access to the accommodation by Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia
The Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia team will have the right to enter the accommodation, during the Client's stay, in order to carry out cleaning, repairs and similar work.
X. Price of stay and other prices
The price of the stay to be paid by the Customer constitutes the consideration for the use of the accommodation, in the period between arrival and departure.
The total price of the stay will be charged per night, regardless of whether the Customer actually used the accommodation.
The applicable rates will be the agreed prices or the prices established in the price list of Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia in force on the date of the reservation request. Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia will have the right to update prices, informing the Client in a timely manner.
The rates and amounts indicated for the stay include VAT at the legal rate in force, unless expressly provided otherwise.
Children up to 3 years stay for free. From the age of 4, when possible to stay in the Parents' room, the amount of an extra bed is charged.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia makes information and promotions available on its website, on social networks and on booking platforms.
The offers and promotions are temporary and are subject to the specific conditions defined.
Specific payment terms may apply to travel agencies, tour operators and other entities.
XI. Payment conditions
The payment of the amount of the stay and extra services (extra bed) must be paid before check-in, according to the Cancellation Policy.
If the length of the Customer's stay is not specified, the price of the stay for each night must be paid by 11:00 am, the time of check-out.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia accepts payments by Paypal, Stripe, MB Way, bank transfer.
Checks are not accepted, nor do we have an ATM service.
Specific payment terms may apply to travel agencies, tour operators and other entities.
XII. Claims
There is an electronic complaints book.
Any complaints or suggestions should be forwarded to management via info@lagartopintado.com or by telephone.
Upon verifying that there is indeed a defect in the Client's accommodation, Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia has the right to opt for repair and relocate the guest in accommodation of the same category contracted with the guest. Only defects likely to jeopardize the level of service and quality of Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia will be considered.
XIII. Responsibility of Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia will be responsible for ensuring adequate conditions of hygiene, cleanliness and safety of the accommodation.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia will not be responsible for personal belongings that may disappear within its facilities.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia does not assume any responsibility for the loss of data provided by the Customer in the event of electronic transmission of payment data, being only responsible in the event of culpable action.
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia will not be liable to the Client in case of delay in providing the accommodation in the event of force majeure. Force majeure will be those that make it impossible or more difficult to provide accommodation, such as, in particular, strikes, lockouts, natural disasters, accidents in the accommodation itself or in the accommodation.
XIV. Notification duty
In the event of theft, property damage, fire, flooding or other damage to the accommodation, the Client must immediately inform the Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia team and do everything to help resolve the situation in question.
XV. End of stay
Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia has the right to terminate the stay if the Client fails to pay the amount due, as well as if the Client exhibits any behavior that affects good coexistence, peace of mind or hygiene.
The Customer may request the end of their stay at any time up to 7:30 pm, to take effect from 7 am the following day. No refunds will be made based on this request.
XVI. Data protection
The personal data of the Client and his/her companion(s), if applicable, will be stored and processed by Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia and service providers, in accordance with the Law, for the services requested by the Client and for the own advertising campaigns.
The Client will have the right to object at any time to the use of personal data for advertising purposes, and must inform Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia.
Unless otherwise provided by law, the Customer's personal data must be deleted when the legal retention period ends.
XVII. General provisions
The Terms and Conditions govern the Client's stay at Lagarto Pintado Casa n'Aldeia and the Client's use of the accommodation.
The nullity of one or more of the above provisions does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision will be replaced by the valid provision, the closest to the commercial and legal intentions of the parties or if this is not possible by the Portuguese legislation in force.
